Our warranty reflects our confidence in our work and our dedication to delivering the finest granite, quartz, engineered stone and natural stone installations in the Chicago area and beyond.

Limited Warranty Overview

What Is Covered

This warranty covers defects in workmanship and installation performed by Precision Stone Design. We guarantee that your countertop installation will be completed in a professional and workmanlike manner, consistent with industry standards. Coverage includes issues such as improper seam placement, uneven installation, or failure of adhesives or mounting supports due to workmanship error. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the original installation site. Proof of purchase and installation date are required to obtain warranty service.

How Long Coverage Lasts

This limited warranty is valid for one (1) year from the date of installation. During this period, Precision Stone Design will, at its discretion, repair or replace any countertop found to have workmanship-related defects under normal residential use. All implied warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are also limited to a one-year term from the date of installation. Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so this limitation may not apply to you.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover the following:

  • Countertops that have been moved, reinstalled, or altered after the original installation.
  • Natural characteristics of stone materials, such as color variations, fissures, water lines, veining, pitting, or surface marks, as these are inherent to the beauty and uniqueness of natural stone.
  • Damage caused by structural movement, house settling, improper support from cabinets, plumbing or electrical modifications, or acts of nature such as floods, fires, earthquakes, or severe weather.
  • Cracking, chipping, staining, etching, or scratching resulting from everyday use, negligence, chemical exposure, or impact damage.
  • Damage resulting from heat exposure, placing hot cookware directly on the surface, or using abrasive cleaners.

  • Dust, odor, or noise resulting from installation materials (e.g., sealers, hardeners, adhesives, or resins) used during normal installation.
  • Minor cosmetic issues to adjacent surfaces such as drywall, paint, mirrors, cabinets, or backsplashes that may occur as part of the fitting process for custom installation.
  • Any indirect, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or business interruption, related to this warranty or installation.

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original owner and installation site. Some states do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

What Precision Stone Design Will Do

If your countertop is found to have a defect covered by this warranty, Precision Stone Design will inspect the issue and determine the appropriate resolution. Depending on the findings, we will:

  1. Repair the defective area using professional-grade materials and techniques, or
  2. Replace the affected countertop with a comparable product of similar color, composition, and value, or
  3. Refund the original purchase price if repair or replacement is not feasible.

Any repaired or replaced section will be covered under the original warranty period only; no extensions or renewals of the coverage period will apply.
